Ordering & Personalization

Can I have products personalized?

Yes. Many of our items can be customized with your own text, motif or an individual engraving. Personalizable products are marked “Customizable”; you enter your text and motif directly on the product page. We review your details before production and get in touch if anything is unclear. Please note: for personalized pieces the right of withdrawal is excluded once we begin production.

Can I upload my own photo or logo?

Yes – as JPEG or PNG up to 5 MB, directly on the product page. The higher the resolution, the cleaner the result. Important: you must hold the rights to the artwork. We cannot process third-party logos, trademarks, cartoon characters or images taken from the internet – even if the piece is only for your private use. If in doubt, just ask us before ordering.

A product is sold out – can I be notified?

Yes. On the product page you can leave your e-mail address and we will notify you as soon as the item is back in stock. We confirm your sign-up by e-mail and delete your address right after the notification. This does not reserve stock for you.

Do I need a customer account to order?

No, you can order as a guest. An account is still worthwhile: you can see your previous orders including invoices, save delivery addresses and keep your wishlist across devices. The wishlist also works without an account and can be shared via a link – handy for gift ideas.

Which payment methods are available?

You can pay securely by credit and debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna or Link. Payment is processed encrypted via our payment provider Stripe – we never store card details.

Shipping & Delivery

How much does shipping cost and when is it free?

Within Germany, shipping is €4.90 and free from an order value of €50. To Austria we ship for €6.90, free from €75. Every order is carefully packaged and dispatched from Germany.

How long does delivery take?

In-stock items reach you within 3–5 business days in Germany and 5–7 business days in Austria. Personalized pieces are made especially for you, which adds 2–5 business days of production time. As soon as your order ships, you will receive an e-mail with tracking information.

Which countries does MAK-ART ship to?

We currently ship to Germany and Austria. If you'd like to order to another country, please get in touch with us beforehand.

After Your Purchase

Where do I find tracking and my invoice?

As soon as your parcel is on its way, we send a shipping confirmation with the tracking number and a tracking link. You receive your invoice as a PDF by e-mail once payment is complete. With a customer account you can find both at any time under “My orders”.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Just contact us with a photo of the damage – ideally within a few days of receipt. We will take care of it and either remake your piece or refund you. This explicitly applies to personalized products too: the exclusion of the right of withdrawal only covers changing your mind, not transport damage or defects.

Can I withdraw from or return my order?

For non-personalized items you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt of the goods. For personalized or made-to-order products, the right of withdrawal is excluded under Section 312g (2) no. 1 of the German Civil Code (BGB) once production has begun – we communicate this transparently before purchase.

How can I review a product?

About a week after delivery you will receive an e-mail from us with a personal review link. Reviews are only possible through that link, which ensures every review comes from a genuine purchase. We also publish critical reviews and never delete one simply because we do not like it.

About MAK-ART

Are the products really handmade?

Yes. Every piece is handcrafted in Germany – from 3D printing and ceramic casting to engraving. This makes each product one of a kind and it may differ slightly from the photo in grain, color or texture.

Why is no VAT shown?

MAK-ART is a small business under Section 19 of the German VAT Act (§ 19 UStG). We therefore do not charge or show VAT. The prices listed are final prices with no separately stated value-added tax.

Can I request an individual custom piece?

Absolutely. Alongside the items in the shop, we also create individual commissioned work. Simply describe your idea via the contact form – we'll get back to you with a no-obligation proposal.
